It’s another fun style season and I love that barrettes are back in style! They’ve slowly been showing up here and there over the last year, but really came to the forefront recently at New York Fashion Week. Everything from decorative bobby pins to simple clips, there are so many options to fit your own personal style. For a big statement, layer a bunch of rhinestone bobby pins. It’s a great style choice any time of day. I’ve found a few cute (and affordable) options: here, here, and here.

For a simple and understated hair style statement, pull back a section of hair and clip. This open barrette style is such a favorite of mine. You can find some super cute options here, herehere and here.

And for the easiest hairstyle-with-a-barrette of them all, pull your hair back in a pony and clip! Ta-da! I do love this pearl encrusted pony clip and have found some other great ponytail clip styles here, here, and here. And some pearly barrettes here, here, and here.

Do have have some favorite sources for cute hair accessories? I’d love to hear about them. xoxo

IT'S ME, SERENA!

In 2002, I was dreaming of creating a fun and happy little event to sell my vintage and handmade goods. In 2002, I held my first event in my neighbor's barn along with a handful of friends. The sale became wildly popular and began attracting visitors from across the country and recognition in national magazines. Today The Farm Chicks Vintage & Handmade Fair fills the Spokane County Fairgrounds and features hundreds of creatively and carefully curated spaces packed with vintage and handmade goods. Many describe it as a bucket list event, magical, inspirational, and the best event of its kind in the USA. I describe it as the best weekend of the year!
