I partnered with the Inn at the Market in Seattle while Colin and I were visiting the city for a recent project. It has always been such a favorite hotel for us. Nestled into the hillside, just steps away from Pike Place Market, it’s like getting the most perfect infusion of the Seattle experience for as long as you stay. Its boutique size makes it feel special and cozy to me.

The view from the rooftop deck pretty much says it all. Hello, beautiful Seattle!

And the view from the room during our most recent stay was pretty great too.

The Inn at the Market surrounds a sweet little outdoor courtyard that houses four wonderful restaurants (I highly recommend all of them: Bacco Cafe, Sushi Kashiba, Chan Seattle, and Cafe Campagne), and two little shops, one of which, Watson Kennedy, is one of my favorite little gift shops ever. The selection there is so wonderfully curated and I don’t think I’ve ever visited and not walked away with something. I adore how they sprinkle in a tiny bit of vintage finds into their offerings.

We’ve been staying at the Inn at the Market from time to time for many years now and have stayed in a wide variety of different rooms. There are rooms with an incredible water view and rooms with a city view. Although the water view is amazing, I think my favorite was a two story room city view room when our children were smaller. They LOVED going up and down the stairs and it just felt so fancy to be in a room with two levels.

All in all, this was another wonderful stay.

IT'S ME, SERENA!

In 2002, I was dreaming of creating a fun and happy little event to sell my vintage and handmade goods. In 2002, I held my first event in my neighbor's barn along with a handful of friends. The sale became wildly popular and began attracting visitors from across the country and recognition in national magazines. Today The Farm Chicks Vintage & Handmade Fair fills the Spokane County Fairgrounds and features hundreds of creatively and carefully curated spaces packed with vintage and handmade goods. Many describe it as a bucket list event, magical, inspirational, and the best event of its kind in the USA. I describe it as the best weekend of the year!
